Over 300 reasons to give
The Annual Fund is the central fundraising priority at St. Gregory. The Annual Fund offers a tax-deductible way to bridge the gap between tuition charged and the actual cost of operating the school. A strong Annual Fund helps keep tuition increases at a minimum while providing critical funding for operations and programs. Unrestricted giving to the Annual Fund is put to use immediately and supports many of the programs that make St. Gregory extraordinary.

• Low student to teacher ratio
• A broad range of curricular and extra curricular choices
• An array of experiential educational opportunities
• Competitive athletics
• Excellent fine arts programs
• A diverse group of students with a strong financial aid program
• Excellent faculty.

Every student benefits from the Annual Fund, so there are more than 300 reasons to give! Gifts of any size have an impact. We encourage gifts of all amounts since high participation levels in the Annual Fund help St. Gregory attain grants from foundations.

Annual Fund Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Annual Fund?
Tuition only covers about 89% of St. Gregory’s annual budget. As a non-profit organization, we depend upon the financial support of those who value the service we provide. The Annual Fund offers a tax-deductible way to bridge the gap between tuition charged and the actual cost of educating our students, helping keep tuition increases at a minimum and providing critical funding for operations and programs during the year in which they are given.

I have already made a Tuition Tax Credit contribution, does that count toward the Annual Fund?
No, the Annual Fund and Tuition Tax Credit Program are two separate campaigns that meet two different and important needs at St. Gregory.

Tax Credit contributions are not gifts to the school, but rather designation of tax dollars owed to the state of Arizona. They are restricted for need-based financial aid. Annual Fund donations are outright gifts to St. Gregory, and may be used to support a variety of activities and programs throughout the school.

We encourage all Arizona taxpayers to support BOTH the Tuition Tax Credit program and the Annual Fund.

Why does my participation matter?
Your gift, of any amount, to the Annual Fund not only provides needed revenue, it also provides a ringing endorsement of St. Gregory. Major donors and foundations often look at the percentage of giving among trustees, faculty/staff, current parents, alumni, alumni families and friends of the school to determine whether a gift to St. Gregory is a good investment.

May I designate my gift?
Gifts to any area of the school are greatly appreciated and are immediately applied to the area the donor specifies. Annual Fund donations have supported many things such as the school’s greatest needs, academics, athletics, financial aid, fine arts, outdoor education, and technology.

You may also make a gift in honor or memory of a friend or loved one.

Is a gift to the Annual Fund tax deductible?
Yes! St. Gregory is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts to the Annual Fund are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Please check with your financial planner or tax preparer for details.
